Disabled people, their whānau, and their allies are working to create a more accessible, fair, and non-disabling world.
We’ve achieved a lot and we’ve got lots more to do!
For our latest blogs, learning events, research, e-newsletters and more.
Imagine communities where disabled people are visible, respected and valued. Communities where disabled people live with dignity in accessible and safe homes, can access inclusive education, and have employment options that ensure lives free from poverty. Imagine a world free from violence, abuse, exclusion, segregation and neglect. Imagine and act!
Research for Change
We have a research and evaluation programme that places disabled people, their families and whānau at its centre. We advocate for more disability-led and owned research and evaluation that addresses social justice and human rights issues.
Learning for Change
Imagine Better offers workshops around New Zealand and online. We can also work with you to design and deliver a tailor-made programme. Find out more about our learning and education programmes here.
Evidence For Action
These Evidence for Action info sheets arm you with persuasive well-researched summaries of key issues affecting disabled people, with references. They can be used to support everyday conversations, as well as arguments in an advocacy, academic or work context.
Imagine Better offers evidence, tools, examples, ideas, connections, training, research and evaluation, to help build a powerful, passionate, growing and effective disability rights movement.
