About the Workshop

A one, two or three day workshop specially designed to support organisations wishing to engage in positive futures planning with the disabled or vulnerable people they serve. This workshop details the use of the PATH (Planning Alternative Tomorrows with Hope) process using both theoretical and practical components.

The Planning for a Good Life using PATH Workshop has been developed to support organisations struggling with the limitations of their current ‘annual planning’ processes. It has been designed to build the internal capacity within organisations, enabling them to move their current annual planning processes to a futures planning framework.

A futures planning framework creates an environment where service providers are able to plan with an individual (and their family/whanau) to create a vision of the Good Life and then turn the vision into reality.

This form of planning will also enable the organisation to meet all contractual obligations required by the funder.

Just like individuals, organisations have differing and changing needs. The Planning for a Good Life workshop has been created to be flexible and can be tailored to suit your organisations needs. It is usually delivered in either a one, two or three day workshop
