Towards A Better Life explores the dynamics and effects of what is called social devaluation and examines its impact on people with disabilities, elders and other marginalised peoples. This workshop will explain how acquiring valued roles can change the way people are regarded and treated, even to the extent that they experience a better life.
An understanding of SRV and how it might be used to challenge assumptions about people has become a powerful means for many family/whānau/aiga members, advocates and services to facilitate a dramatic change in the life circumstances of people they know, love and support.
SRV has been used across the globe as a coherent and powerful framework by those seeking a good life. If you, or someone you support, is seeking a better life, a life that includes authentic home, valued work and community roles, friendships, lifelong learning and a real chance to discover their full potential, SRV is worth your time.
