About the Event
SRV – Western Bay of Plenty
The Orchard, 20 MacLoughlin Drive, Te Puke
5 & 6 March, 2018
This event explores the SRV framework with regard to people who are marginalised. It looks at how the acquisition of valued roles can contribute to changed societal perceptions and strengthen the likelihood that people with a devalued status will get a better life. The core themes and principles of SRV will be explored through presentations, exercises and discussions.
The workshop is designed for participants who are interested in, or seeking a deeper understanding of how ‘we’ can meet the real needs of marginalised people and / or want to learn more about the SRV framework. It is suitable for disabled persons, family members, paid direct staff, teachers, leaders, managers and officials.
