No One Alone

The No One Alone conference is seeking to address the issues of isolation and loneliness as major disabling factors in the lives of people with disabilities. The conference seeks to promote a deeper understanding of the approaches to the developments of, and the impact of friendships and relationships in the lives of people with disabilities along with the consequences of a lack of these relationships.

Conference will be held 20th - 22nd September 2010

Seeking a Good Life

A two day workshop exploring options for people with disabilities and their families to manage thier own supports and taking authority over their own lives. This event will address the questions; What is a Good Life? and how can it be attained by everybody? Topics include:

  • Introduction to the idea of a good life
  • The importance of Roles
  • Welfare Guardianship and Property management
  • Individualised Funding
  • Friendships, Relationships and Parenting
  • Circles of Support
  • Wills, Trusts and Estates

Deep Quality Through Optimal Individual Service Design

Standards Plus is planning to host this high level and intensive training programme to support the development of quality in the design and delivery of individualised, person centred services to people with disabilities and their families.
