We believes that we have the ability to create new and exciting possibilities for change by creating 'a space' where individuals and families can come together to engage in conversation. The creation of new ideas, wisdom and insight can occur individually and collectively but it will be most powerful when we are in 'community' with one another. At this stage Community Conversation will be starting shortly in the following regions:

Investing in a Future Worth Creating will run pre conference in Hawkes Bay and post conference in Hamilton Designing the Future A workshop delivered by David Hasbury on MAPS (Making Action Plans)and how they can provide a process enabling people to rethink who someone is as a gifted contributor and envision what they will need to ensure that they can make their contribution. Designing the Future will run post conference in Auckland 22 February 2012 Towards a Better LifeA Two-day Introduction to Social Role Valorisation  ImagineBetter will be hosting two Introduction to SRV events in May. The first is a partially funded event to be held in Tauranga. The second is a fully funded event to be held in Dunedin, focusing on partnership for change. The programme and registration for New Zealand's first international conference on Individualised Funding and Self Directed Services are now available. The conference will be held at: 27th, 28th, 29th June 2012 This conference will explore what has been learnt about the implementation and contribution of Individualised Funding to the life opportunities of people with disabilities and their families both internationally and within New Zealand. 31 October 2011 Believing in Better
Initial steps in securing a good life for your family member with a disability This two day introductory workshop explores options and thinking around how to attain better lives for people with disabilities. Imagine Better has the opportunity to offer this workshop in Invercargill on the weekend of 25 - 26 February 2012. Registrations for this event are now open.
Information relating to the Tauranga Crafting a Future including venue, dates and brochure are now available. 6 September 2011 Imagine Better is please to annouce that we are again able to host three Crafting a Future weekends with the Parent and Family Resource Centre. Two of these weekends will be available in Auckland and the third in Tauranga. Standards Plus are happy to provide links to other organisations or
